How to plan your brand shoot | Des Moines Brand Photographer

As someone who has been a Des Moines brand photographer for over 4 years now I’ve learned a thing or 2 on how to plan your perfect brand shoot! There is a lot of prep that happens before hand but not to worry I’m going to help you out.

The prep

First - take inventory of where you need images and make a list. Check your website, content you post on Instagram, & any place you might need updated headshots. This helps plan out a shot list.

Second - put a Pinterest board together with around 20 images that represent your brand and how you envision the overall vibe of the shoot.

Third- Think about locations you might want to use so you can discuss with your photographer. Are you looking for a studio? Will it be on location at your office? Or maybe you want to rent an Airbnb.

Fourth- Pick out 3-4 outfits that you want wear during your shoot. I always tell my clients to wear an outfit that feels the most like you working from home or the office, what you’d wear working with clients, and the outfit that makes you feel like your next level self.
